Storecheckers work closely with shoppers, fieldworkers and clients, as well as public respondents for questionnaires and focus groups, and we value your privacy. This Privacy Policy aims to explain what information we collect from you and why, as well as your rights and your role. We will explain how we keep your details secure, and our boundaries in using this information.

This Policy explains how we collect information about people who visit our website be they fieldworkers, employees or clients. This includes how we use the information and how we keep it secure. Storecheckers (UK) Limited is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. We will never pass on your details to anyone else.

Storecheckers may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 01.03.2014. The last update was 18.04.2022. By using our website, having an agreement or partnership with us, you are agreeing to be bound by this Policy.

1. What information do we request and store about you, and why?

All information is stored on a secure platform. Storecheckers do not use the data for any purpose other than for which it was intended, ie Mystery Shopping or Market Research projects to be undertaken on behalf of clients by public respondents, shoppers, agents, or fieldworkers with the shoppers consent and client agreement. Details stored on Storecheckers login pages are password protected, and the password is only seen by the relevant person, who may amend their password at any stage. Storecheckers do not have access to passwords.

Information we request:

  • Contact name
  • Contact telephone and email address
  • Payment details
  • Other information on the nature of an enquiry, relevant to a particular project
  • Your employment information, such as position, company and workplace

Storecheckers may contact you by email, facebook,(or other relevant services) whatsapp , text or phone regarding specific assignments, or your comments regarding both assignments and Storecheckers.

We may also contact you with Storecheckers Newsletters, updates, birthday / Festive cards or feedback on your visits for us.

You will not be contacted for other purposes besides those related to working with Storecheckers.

Your completion of the application process and consent to this Policy implies consent to contact by above methods.

The amount of information gathered is dependent on your role within Storecheckers. We obtain information about you when you use our website, make enquiries or register as a shopper or respondent, in the case of public questionnaires and focus groups.

We require this information to understand the needs of both clients and fieldworkers, to provide a better service, and for the following reasons:

  • Internal record keeping of all data stored, for both fieldworkers and clients.
  • To fulfill contracts and agreements with clients and suppliers.
  • To process application details and payments
  • To improve our services, and that of our clients
  • To further understand your views on the services we provide, and to notify you od any alterations.
  • We may periodically send promotional emails about services or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address or contact details which you have provided

  • From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. This would be by email or telephone. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests
  • We retain your information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as set out in any relevant contract or agreement with us.

We do not sell this information to any third parties. Your information is stored on a secure cloud based server, hosted by the below companies.

Sharing information with 3rd parties

Storecheckers share information with the providers of our portal system, Liveshopper (sassie) Liveshopper complies with GDPR Regulations, please refer to the links below for additional information (or copy and paste into your browser):

All shopper information is stored and managed on the above secured data system. Shoppers and clients have full access to this and may amend their profile details or unsubscribe at any time. It is the responsibility of the shopper to amend their own profile. Work completed by the shopper will be retained on our systems for client use, as intended.

We may also, with your authorisation, share information with Third Party Mystery Shopping providers and Clients, if relevant to the project you have been working on.

How do we protect your stored data?

Our IT company have installed a locked down Firewall router, Anti-Virus software, maintain server backups and we use data encryption for certain information. See above for Liveshopper additional privacy measures. Backed - up data is deleted on an ongoing process.

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. We are committed to ensuring that all stored information is secure and in line with GDPR regulations. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
